Materials are Visual Storytelling.

What story do you want your space to tell?

WASTD is the brainchild of Tingzhi, a designer who, after a decade in the industry, began a series of experiments to ask: could there be a less extractive way of creating?

Using waste felt like a good place to start: a way to design without pulling more from the earth’s resources. What began as small material experiments has since grown into a studio making waste look good, transforming discarded textiles, plastics, and glass into materials, objects, and installations that spark conversation and wonder.

Today, WASTD works with brands, architects, and curious individuals who want to bring a different kind of storytelling into their spaces and projects.
