WELCOME TO OUR WORLD
Transforming waste into artful home and lifestyle pieces.
Inspired by art, nature, and tactility, our collections highlight unique materials that enhance your home, recrafting overlooked materials into distinctive products that inspire conscious living.
Meet Tingzhi
WASTD was founded by Tingzhi, who, after over a decade in fashion and consumer goods, recognized the need for a new approach to consumption. At the heart of WASTD is a simple philosophy: to see waste as a resource by designing directly from it, and to bring meaning back to the items we use by sharing the stories and processes behind their creation. Through circular production, we transform discarded materials into design-driven products, fostering more thoughtful consumption and inspiring conscious living.
Materials & Sustainability
We reimagine waste, honoring age-old practices of reusing and crafting, transforming waste into timeless pieces with character and purpose. By embracing hand-making and thoughtful design, we create items meant to last, reducing waste and celebrating the beauty of imperfection. Each piece is a nod to the past, shaping a future rooted in mindful living.

Working only from Waste Materials
By using waste materials, we reduce the need for virgin resources, ensuring our planet is depleted as little as possible. This approach transforms discarded materials into purposeful, beautiful pieces, demonstrating that sustainability comes from reimagining what’s already here.
Pre-Orders and Small Batch
Pre-orders and small-batch production help us align output with demand, reducing waste and excess inventory. This approach allows for greater craft and fosters mindful consumption by creating only what is needed.
Non-Toxic and Certified Materials
We use non-toxic, certified materials—such as FDA food-safe, BPA-free, and VOC-free—to ensure our products are safe for both people and the planet. This commitment helps reduce environmental impact and creates pieces that are healthier for your home and the environment.
Types of Waste Streams We Work With
We work with a variety of waste streams to create our collections—food, glass, plastics, and textiles—each requiring their own unique methods and creative solutions to handle: melting, shredding, dyeing, and cutting.
