WASTD is the brainchild of Tingzhi, a designer who, after a decade in the industry, began a series of experiments to ask: could there be a less extractive way of creating?
Using waste felt like a good place to start: a way to design without pulling more from the earth’s resources. What began as small material experiments has since grown into a studio making waste look good, transforming discarded textiles, plastics, and glass into materials, objects, and installations that spark conversation and wonder.
